Since 8 a.m. Wednesday, the Lodi Police Department received 140 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls:


Drugs near a playground: 10:24 a.m. — People were doing drugs in a red Mustang near a playground in the 100 block of Evergreen Drive.

City bus accident: 11:50 a.m. — There was a non-injury accident involving a city bus in the 1300 block of West Lockeford Street.

Lunchtime jams: 12:14 p.m. — Loud music was coming from an apartment in the 600 block of Hale Road.

Sad child: 1:24 p.m. — A small child was on a porch crying and no one was answering the door in the 1000 block of Wimbledon Drive.

Chicken with a train: 1:24 p.m. — About a dozen juveniles were playing chicken with the train on the tracks in the 0 block of East Kettleman Lane.

Drunk man taking a stroll: 4:11 p.m. — There was a drunk male on Turner Road at the Highway 99 crossing.

Speed demons: 8:43 p.m — One to two people on motorcycles were driving 100 miles per hour back and forth in the 2300 block of St. Anton Drive.


Red light runner: 1:08 a.m. — A driver ran a red light by Walmart and was continuing to drive erratically in the 1400 block of West Tokay Street.

Camping in a boat: 7:32 a.m. — A man was in the north side of Lodi Lake park camping in his boat in the 1100 block of West Turner Road.

No, no, I won't go: 7:52 a.m. — A juvenile was refusing to get ready on time for school in the 1400 block of Bordeau Drive.
