Between the hours of 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday, the Lodi Police Department received 172 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls.


Summer camp: 8:30 a.m. — A resident thinks there may be homeless people camping out behind a house and leaving blankets on the 1200 block of River Pointe Drive.

Eggs, now!: 9:10 a.m. — A customer was kicking in the door of a restaurant on the 100 block of North Cherokee Lane over a disagreement about a breakfast offer.

Hot dogs: 10:51 a.m. — A gray Saturn was left running with dogs inside and no one else on the 300 block of West Kettleman Lane.

Funny smell: 7:21 p.m. — A man was possibly selling drugs from his socks on the 600 block of West Kettleman Lane.

Below the belt: 9:10 p.m. — A 16-year-old male had a gunshot wound to his buttocks on the 900 block of Fairmont Street.


Overreaction: 5:29 a.m. — A man knocked on a door, looking for someone who didn't live there, then smashed the back window of a car and stole some items on the 0 block of Tokay Street.
