The following is a sample of calls the Lodi Police Department received since Saturday morning:
Gunshot fired: 10:56 a.m. — Someone fired a BB gun at a male in the 200 block of Elm Street.
Grinch in town: 3:20 p.m. — A male stole a package from the front porch of a residence in the 100 block of Rose Street. He put the package back on the porch when he was ordered to do so.
Christmas Eve violence: 6:23 p.m. — A woman punched someone in the face and brandished a knife in the 0 block of West Oak Street. The woman threatened to kill the person as well.
Bang, bang: 8:54 p.m. — Twelve gunshots or fireworks were heard in the 1500 block of Park Street near Vine Street.
Santa knows they're awake: 9:44 p.m. — Report of loud music in the 300 block of Eureka Avenue.
Scary gift: 10:02 p.m. — Someone placed a sawed-off shotgun inside a door in the 0 block of South Main Street.
Another lump of coal coming: 11:24 p.m. — Loud music from an alley north of the 500 block of Harold Street. Santa obviously knew that residents were awake in this neighborhood.
Stolen vehicle: 3:55 p.m. — Someone stole a vehicle in the 600 block of West Century Boulevard.
Not Santa's sleigh: 9:51 p.m. — Santa may be returning to the North Pole, but it was a mere mortal speeding and swerving south on Ham Lane between Vine Street and Kettleman Lane. The driver ran stop lights and swerved into oncoming traffic while driving about 60 mph.
Domestic issues: 11:08 a.m. — A woman's husband shot out her son's car window in the 2100 block of Cabrillo Circle.
Discount for cops?: 5:55 p.m. — A man wearing a badge around his neck requested a discount at a fast-food drive-thru after telling an employee he was an on-duty Lodi police officer.
