Between the hours of 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday, the Lodi Police Department received 154 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls.
Wrong house: 10:05 a.m. — A man and a woman were found in a caller’s home, and stated they were in the wrong house on the 800 block of Eucalyptus Court.
Haven’t I seen this before? 11:15 a.m. — A man found a statue in a Dumpster he believes was stolen from a church on the 400 block of School Street.
Why aren’t you in school? 12:48 p.m. — Seven or eight teens were loitering in front of an apartment building on the 2400 block of Winchester Street.
Ten points if you hit one: 2:53 p.m. — Ten juveniles were throwing rocks at passing trains on the 0 block of Tokay Street.
Messy burglars: 3:23 p.m. — A neighbor found the front door of a home left open and the house ransacked on the 400 block of Donner Drive.
Does this count as money laundering? 3:54 p.m. — Three transients were begging for money at the Laundromat on the 600 block of Victor Road.
Shots fired: 5:30 p.m. — A teenager with a rifle was shooting toward the field on the 1200 block of Harney Lane.
Steamy: 8:27 p.m A large amount of steam was coming from the roof of a building on the 2400 block of Maggio Court.
First place I look: 1:32 a.m. — A man was searching through trash cans for food and cash on the 1100 Dartmoor Circle.
Got milk? Maybe: 7:24 a.m. — Someone dumped trash which contained a gallon of liquid that might have been milk on the 200 block of California Street.
