Between the hours of 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday the Lodi Police Department received 129 calls for service below is a sample of those calls.

Tuesday

Bonfire: 4:06 a.m. — A garbage can was on fire on the 800 block of South Hutchins Street.

We are staying put: 8:06 a.m. — Transients with shopping carts were refusing to leave the side of a business on the 600 block of East Victor Road.

Not going: 8:09 a.m. — A juvenile was refusing to attend school on the 1800 block of Edgewood Drive.

Camp out: 8:17 a.m. — Homeless residents were in the alley camping out on the 600 block of West Vine Street.

Amped: 8:39 a.m. — An unknown person tried to steal an amp out of a vehicle on the 400 block of East Walnut Street.

Do-it-yourself: 9:18 a.m. — Equipment was stolen from Diede Construction on the 200 block of Lawrence Avenue.

Skeletons in the basement?: 9:44 a.m. — A bone was found in the basement on the 0 block of South Washington Street.

Stranger danger: 10:45 a.m. — Four men in a black Honda were parked in the cul-de-sac on the 2200 block of Turtledove Court.

It's getting hot out here: 2:52 p.m. — A person was reported to be shedding clothes and yelling at traffic by the canal on the 1400 block of West Kettleman Lane.

Spud missile: 2:56 p.m. — Two juveniles threw a potato at the caller's car and fled on the 1500 block of South School Street and Village Street.

Shattered glass: 3:26 p.m. — A window was broken at a business by a man in a black hoodie on the 0 block of West Oak Street.

Is this Redbox?: 4:28 p.m. — A DVD was stolen by a man wearing a camouflage jacket, who left in a black Jeep on the 2300 block of East Kettleman Lane.

Did the call drop?: 5:21 p.m. — A black man in a floral shirt on the phone was yelling on the street for half an hour on the 1200 block of West Harney Lane.

Bad customer service: 8:29 p.m. — A man in a camouflage jacket who was asking for money from customers was asked to leave when he started yelling at the caller on the 300 block of West Kettleman Lane.

Hotbox: 11:33 p.m. — Two people were smoking in a dark-colored truck on the 2000 block of Cochran Road.

No curfew?: 11:44 p.m. — A juvenile who left a bike was parked on the sidewalk was inside a maroon Ford. The caller did not think the juvenile should be in the car on the 400 block of East Walnut Street.

Wednesday

Early move: 3:35 a.m. — Noises were heard in the backyard, like someone moving a ladder next door or in the caller's driveway, on the 100 Block of Verdugo Drive.

Let me in: 5:26 a.m. — A subject attempted to open the side door of the caller's residence on the 700 block of South Garfield Street.
