Between the hours of 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday, the Lodi Police Department received 164 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls.

Knife: 11:16 a.m. — Someone reported a juvenile with a knife at school on the 2200 block of Tienda Drive.

Smoke: 12:10 p.m. — Smoke was seen coming from a backyard next to a business on the 100 block of North Sacramento Street.

Mysterious tool: 1:10 p.m. — A tool was found hanging on a gate on the 1900 block of South Church Street.

Group fight: 2:37 p.m. — A group of about 15 "gang-type" teens were seen gathering while two teens were fighting on the 2100 block of Newbury Circle.

Voter disturbance: 7:00 p.m. — Employees were revving up a motor engine at a business on the 2500 block of South Stockton Street. The caller would like silence until voting ends at 8 p.m.

Fire starters: 7:47 p.m. — Children were seen starting a fire.

Pot smokers: 7:49 p.m. — Someone reported a strong smell of pot coming from the next residence on the 1800 block of Lake Street.

Disturbance: 9:07 p.m. — A male and female transient were harassing customers on the 600 block of East Victor Road.

Gunshots: 9:19 p.m. — Gunshots were heard in an alley on the 180 block of Louie Avenue.

Loud group: 11:52 p.m. — Someone reported hearing loud singing and chanting on the 300 block of South Central Avenue.

  • 8 Share what you know, and ask about what you don't.
