Between the hours of 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday, the Lodi Police Department received 420 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls:
Stolen bike: 9:59 a.m. — A man with a cart grabbed a bicycle from the front of a residence in the 300 block of Eureka Avenue. The man was last seen headed toward Pleasant Avenue.
Laundry day: 4:49 p.m. — A juvenile neighbor threw a woman’s laundry over a balcony in the 100 block of East Oak Street.
Fore! 11:08 p.m. — Someone was hitting golf balls in the middle of the 200 block of West Pine Street. The balls were hit westbound.
Noisy pumpkin: 2:12 a.m. — Loud music coming from a pumpkin on a fence at Ham Lane and Pine Street.
Young roofers? 5:13 p.m. — Two teens were found on a roof at Woodbridge Elementary School on Lilac Street.
Garbage: 7:56 p.m. — Two male and two female juveniles threw a garbage can from the top floor of the city parking garage at Sacramento and Pine streets.
Trash fire: 10:49 p.m. — Fire in a trash can in 500 block of Applewood Drive. A resident was in bed when he heard some popping and then saw flames. Firefighters put the blaze out with minimal damage, according to Lodi Fire Capt. Bill Broderick.
