Here is a sample of calls from the Lodi Police Department between 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday:
We fight in the shade: 11:15 a.m. — Five or six male juveniles with bows were shooting arrows straight up in the air at Van Buskirk Park in the 600 block of North Pleasant Avenue.
People walking through yard: 6:41 p.m. — “Gang types” were walking through a yard in the 400 block of South School Street.
Shooting: 9:51 p.m. — Six people dressed in black and red shot up a house in the 300 block of Cypress Street. They were last seen driving down South Central Avenue.
Attempted robbery: 11:13 p.m. — A man with a bandanna over his face pointed a gun at someone and demanded money at Elm Street and Evergreen Drive. He didn’t take any money, and he ran east on Elm Street.
Garbage, garbage, garbage: 7:04 a.m. — Someone in a Dumpster in the 800 block of Perry Way threw garbage all over the ground.
Sad: 10:18 a.m. — A popsicle stick went through the roof of a little girl’s mouth when she fell down in the 400 block of West Lockeford Street.
Cat trap: 3:16 p.m. — Someone captured a neighbor’s cat with a trap after the feline wandered into his yard in the 1600 block of Bird Lane.
Give money or else: 12:45 p.m. — An intoxicated man threatened to shoot people in the back of the head when they wouldn’t give him money at Elm and School streets.
Hit by BB gun: 1:51 p.m. — A juvenile was hit in the head with a BB gun in the 200 block of Ravenswood Way.
Suspicious man: 5:12 p.m. — A man near the boat launch in the 1100 block of West Turner Road was hiding in the bushes and taking photographs of children.
