Between the hours of 8 a.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Tuesday, the Lodi Police Department received 509 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls.

Friday

Where's your driveway?: 8:07 a.m. — A resident was having a garage sale in a parking lot on the 400 block of East Lockeford Street.

Selling lies: 1:03 p.m. — A woman was going door to door claiming to be selling something, but she had no products or papers in her hand on the 2000 block of Providence Way.

Saturday

Run!: 3:26 a.m. — A soccer ball was kicked through a window on the 1000 block of South Garfield Street, but the juveniles all scattered.

After-school special: 3:35 a.m. — A resident smelled marijuana coming from behind the school on the 0 block of Central Avenue.

Too loud: 3:50 a.m. — Ten people were near the horseshoe pit being loud on the 600 block of North Pleasant Avenue.

Um, what?: 3:58 a.m. — Twenty-five juveniles came into a bar with a megaphone on the 100 block of North Sacramento Street.

Scary: 1:43 p.m. — A boy was bullied off of a basketball court on the 1800 block of Lexington Drive when another boy flashed the handle of what appeared to be a gun in his pocket.

Camping: 2:50 p.m. — Someone was living in a tent in a field on the 2300 block of Brittany Lane.

Don't do that: 3:56 p.m. — Twenty juveniles were smoking marijuana near the handball courts on the 100 block of South Hutchins Street.

Divine storage: 5:19 p.m. — A large gold cross was found behind a building on the 1100 block of South Cherokee Lane.

That's your problem: 11:34 p.m. — A caller asked the police department to call the number of someone who was bothering him and tell them to stop, on the 1500 block of Sacramento Street.

Sunday

Round one: 8:51 a.m. — Someone stole a video camera from a business on the 200 block of East Lodi Avenue.

Share that wine with the congregation: 1:20 p.m. — Someone was drinking alcohol inside a church on the 200 block of West Walnut Street.

Parents taught them how: 3:15 p.m. — Neighborhood kids were playing with fire on the 1900 block of Camphor Way, and the caller thought their parents should be notified.

That's your job: 8:42 p.m. — A mom wanted help getting her son to come home from Blakely Park on the 1800 block of Blackbird Court, since her son has run away in the past.

Monday

Vandal: 12:24 a.m. — A subject tried to break out the windows of a Jeep parked on the 1300 block of Vine Street.

Just a little higher: 5:43 p.m. — Juveniles were stacking tables in an attempt to reach the roof on the 2300 block of Giannoni Way.

Eww: 7:53 p.m. — A man found a bloody knife in the men's restroom of a business on the 1200 block of Kettleman Lane.

    These "police logs" appear to make LPD look like they don't take serious crime too seriously, with most reports just an ill mannered attempt at dark humor. Where are the calls for the home invasions, beatings, felonies, etc. that are frequent happenings on the eastside?
