Between 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m., Tuesday, the Lodi Police Department received 159 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls.


Longtime camper: 8:05 a.m. — There is an ongoing problem with a transient who sleeps outside of a building on the 500 block of West Kettleman Lane and leaves unknown substances while he is gone.

Pick it up: 10:45 a.m. — A brown box was in the middle of the roadway on the 1900 block of Lodi Avenue.

That's not what 'moving out' means: 1:33 p.m. — Four people who were evicted from a home on the 400 block of Concord Street moved into the backyard storage shed and were doing drugs.

You left it there: 5:24 p.m. — A man left several items behind when moving out of a residence on the 0 block of Washington Street, but filed a burglary report when he saw a truck leave with several of those items, including plants.

Burglar: 8:00 p.m. — A man was trying to crawl in the window of a residence on the 400 block of South Pleasant Avenue.

Um, OK: 9:25 p.m. — A man was talking to the wall and refusing to leave a business on the 0 block of West Lodi Avenue.


Ding dong, didn't ditch: 3:27 a.m. — A man was ringing the doorbell repeatedly then sitting on the front step of a home on the 300 block of Barrington Way.
