Between the hours of 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday, the Lodi Police Department received 161 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls.


Urban camping: 9:34 a.m. — Two homeless people were camping behind a business on the 600 block of Victor Road.

Fashion police: 11:04 a.m. — A man in a beanie and vest and wearing a backpack was causing a disturbance inside a store on the 100 block of School Street.

Illegal sales: 2:00 p.m. — A man wearing a gray jacket was possibly selling drugs on the 100 block of Lodi Avenue.

Suspicious paperwork: 5:37 p.m. — Two men wearing all black and holding white clipboards were walking on the 200 block of Hazelwood Way.

On a limb: 7:14 p.m. — A man saw two people in a neighboring yard messing with fruit trees while the neighbor was not home on the 200 block of Garfield Street.

Craigslist fail: 8:53 p.m. — A car was stolen while a potential buyer took it for a test drive on the 2400 block of Kettleman Lane.
