Between 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday, the Lodi Police Department received 489 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls.

Friday

No parking: 10:57 a.m. — A van and a car were parked in and blocking passage through the alley behind Bank of the West on the 200 block of West Lodi Avenue.

Oops: 11:29 a.m. — A customer on the 100 block of Lodi Avenue made a comment about buying a gun to shoot people, according to a call after the customer left.

Gone postal: 12:07 p.m. — A Post Office worker noticed some mailboxes were vandalized and mail was taken on the 100 block of Commerce Street.

So many emotions: 5:01 p.m. — An intoxicated and angry man was down on his porch and yelling for help on the 300 block of Elm Street.

Drop in a line: 5:39 p.m. — A group of people were fishing off the train trestle on the 100 block of Turner Road.

Spy games: 6:01 p.m. — A man in a white Escalade wearing a Yankees hat was using binoculars to look at Lower Sacramento Road from the 2400 block of Cochran Road and yelling at someone on the phone about being followed.

Off the leash: 8:39 p.m. — A transient was standing in the middle of the Highway 99 off ramp on the 0 block of East Kettleman Lane and letting his dogs run around.

Bad for brakes: 8:58 p.m. — An orange car was doing burnouts in a parking lot on the 100 block of Pacific Avenue.

Shots fired: 11:37 p.m — Three possible gunshots were heard in the vicinity of 2200 block of Aladdin Way.

Saturday

Clean up: 6:33 a.m. — A man dressed in all black and carrying a plastic garbage bag was going into people’s driveways on the 800 block of Lee Avenue.

Wheel threat: 10:41 a.m. — A man with a bicycle and a cart was threatening employees on the 0 block of North Cherokee Lane.

Ouch: 2:38 p.m. — Needles were found near the back entrance to Kohl’s on the 1300 block of Hutchins Street.

Watering the lawn: 3:49 p.m. — A man was repeatedly urinating in his front yard on the 300 block of East Vine Street.

Party time: 6:14 p.m. — A man was dancing, screaming and taking his shirt off in the intersection on the 100 block of Pine Street.

Suspicious: 7:18 p.m. — A man and a child were on the field near the tires and taking hoses belonging to the school on the 0 block on Pacific Avenue. They said they were looking for cans but were near other equipment.

Fire in the distance: 8:05 p.m. — A small rubbish fire was burning across the river on the 100 block of Mokelumne River Drive.

Annoying clown posse: 10:03 p.m. — Two subjects in a silver Ford Focus were wearing clown masks and harassing passersby on the 100 block of Lakewood Mall.
