Between the hours of 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday, the Lodi Police Department received 402 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls.


Saw injury: 8:25 a.m. — A male cut his hand with an electric saw in the 0 block of Lockeford Street.

Stopping a scam victim: 11:58 a.m. — An elderly female was inside a bank trying to withdraw money for what the teller believed was a scam in the 1900 block of West Kettleman Lane.

The last samurai: 2:39 p.m. — While wielding a sword, a man was threatening people at the skate park in the 1100 block of South Ham Lane.

Gunshots fired: 9:49 p.m. — Gunshots were heard in the area of the 800 block of South Fairmont Avenue.


Stolen tools: 10:01 a.m. — A passerby saw a male steal two drills from a store in the 300 block of South Cherokee Lane.

Discarded Christmas decorations: 10:11 a.m. — Someone saw a truck drop five Christmas trees on the street and keep going in the 100 block of West Kettleman Lane.

DUI driver: 10:48 p.m. — A caller suspected a DUI driver after seeing a white PT Cruiser swerving in the 400 block of West Vine Street.


Breaking glass: 3:14 a.m. — Two males were breaking windows in the 200 block of South Central Avenue.

Get off my roof!: 7:30 a.m. — A man was on a roof trying to take an air conditioner apart in the 800 block of South Cherokee Lane.

Angry dog owners: 3:28 p.m. — People with dogs and "bad attitudes" were heading into the Lodi Lake Nature Area in the 1100 block of West Turner Road.

Sexting gone too far: 5:03 p.m. — A mom brought in her 15-year-old son who was "sexting" a teen in another state, and threatened to hire a hit man to kill his father.

Drunk driver: 7:11 p.m. — A driver, who the caller believed to be drunk, was stuck on the lawn of the church next to Lowe's with their tires spinning in the 1000 block of Lower Sacramento Road.


Scary chase: 12:51 a.m. — A caller was chased by a male carrying two baseball bats into her apartment in the 600 block of Wimbledon Drive.
