In the 24 hours after 10 a.m. Wednesday, the Lodi Police Department made 14 arrests and handled 185 calls for service. The following is a sample of calls received by dispatchers.



4:01 p.m.: Security at Target, 2355 W. Kettleman Lane, detained a theft suspect.

Child at a bar?

4:56 p.m.: A woman walked into Star Bar, 24 S. Main St., and left a small girl at the front door. She soon walked out.

Catalytic converter theft

5:21 p.m.: Someone stole a catalytic converter from a vehicle in the 300 block of Elgin Avenue.

Can Tossers

5:28 p.m.: People were throwing beer cans out of a silver Ford Focus near Kettleman Lane and Hutchins Street. Someone was ultimately arrested on a warrant.

Vehicle Theft

7:46 p.m.: Someone stole a black Chevrolet Tahoe at Lodi Memorial Hospital, 975 S. Fairmont Ave.

Grand Theft

8:38 p.m.: Property valued at more than $400 was stolen in the 500 block of Sandpiper Circle.

Boat Theft

9:02 p.m.: A boat and trailer were stolen sometime after 10 a.m. in the 200 block of South Mills Avenue.

Unhappy Roommate

9:48 p.m.: A man threw a woman's property into the backyard of their Cherry Street residence.

Still Drunk

10:31 p.m.: More than four hours after a man was hospitalized after being found drunk in public, he was still intoxicated but was ready to go to the city jail's drunk tank.

Domestic Dispute

10:56 p.m.: A shirtless Oriole Lane man was pushing a woman during a domestic dispute. Several children were at the home.

Juveniles with toilet paper

11:23 p.m.: Juveniles were putting toilet paper on a house in the 2800 block of Applewood Drive.
