Between the hours of 8 a.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday, the Lodi Police Department received 134 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls.


Suspicious: 8:37 a.m. — Several “homeless-looking” men with a Target basket were looking at a home on the 100 block of Evergreen Drive.

Disturbance: 10:47 a.m. — A man broke into a home and was breaking windows on the 700 block of Central Avenue.

Drugs: 2:40 p.m. — Six juveniles were smoking drugs on a bench on the 600 block of Pleasant Avenue.

Assistance: 3:02 p.m. — A man requested a phone call from a police chaplain because he was not feeling well on the 200 block of West Lodi Avenue.

Theft: 6:36 p.m. — A vehicle was stolen on the 0 block of South Stockton Street.

Theft: 9:18 p.m. — A man took gum and beer and was driving away on the 200 block of West Lockeford Street.

Suspicious: 10:49 p.m. — A bicycle was found on a front lawn of a home on the 1400 block of West Tokay Street and had been there for several hours.


Fire: 4:26 a.m. — A trash can at the park was on fire on the 800 block of South Hutchins Street.
