Between the hours of 8 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday, the Lodi Police Department received 50 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls.


Classy: 12:36 p.m. — A man was staggering around and throwing things on the 0 block of School Street.

Smelly shed: 2:43 p.m. — Juveniles were using drugs behind a shed on the 100 block of Hutchins Street.

Crazy: 5:15 p.m. — Juveniles were smoking, drinking and had lit a trash can on fire in the park on the 2100 block of Newberry Circle.

Oops: 7:52 p.m. — A subject driving a red Nissan broke the mirror off of a silver BMW on the 100 block of North Sacramento Street.

Rude: 8:21 p.m. — A late-model truck pulled into a driveway on the 800 block of North Stockton Street, honked the horn repeatedly, then drove away when the resident came out of the house.


What a mess: 1:46 a.m. — There was toilet paper in trees on the 2500 block of Carriage Drive.

You OK?: 9:25 a.m. — A woman fell into an uncovered manhole on the 300 block of Evergreen Drive.

Careful on Craigslist: 10:47 a.m. — A woman found a knife in a couch she purchased from Craigslist on the 300 block of Valley Avenue.

Extras or empties?: 5:18 p.m. — People were drinking in the alley near a truck that had beer bottles in the back on the e200 block of Eden Street.

Theft: 11:34 p.m. — Two men were inside a home and removing items through the back window on the 400 block of Locust Street.


Hello!: 6:48 am. — A woman found a man inside of her car on the 400 block of School Street. He said he was hiding.

Just give her the package: 12:48 p.m. — A delivery turned up for a woman as she was being evicted from her home on the 600 block of Lincoln, and the driver refused to leave.

Bad kid: 1:40 p.m. — A man wanted an officer to come by and scare his daughter as punishment for her biting her brother on the 600 block of Pleasant.

Trying to avoid scurvy: 3:55 p.m. — A 9-year-old boy was picking oranges from a tree that didn't belong to him on the 500 block of Forrest Avenue.

Party theft: 10:11 p.m. — A man jumped a fence and entered the window of an apartment on the 300 block of Maple Street, then he let in people through the front door.


Who is losing?: 7:03 a.m. — Two men were chasing each other with knives on the 0 block of Main Street.
