Between the hours of 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday, the Lodi Police Department received 173 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls:
Suspicious activity: 8:33 a.m. — A male transient repeatedly slept inside a church on the 200 block of West Oak Street.
Drugs: 9:56 a.m. — A white male transient wearing a black plaid hoodie and grey converse refused to leave an elevator and was seen placing a syringe in a backpack on the 1100 block of West Kettleman Lane
Theft: 12:33 p.m. — A woman reported that her diamond bracelet was stolen while she was wearing it at an event at Hutchins Street Square this past weekend.
Suspicious activity: 12:49 p.m. — A parent found a 1 1/2 year old child wandering alone in a park on the 200 block of Poplar Street.
Juvenile complaint: 4:03 p.m. — A group of eighth graders on skateboards were bothering children after school on the 2300 block of Giannoni Way.
Suspicious activity: 5:25 p.m. — A caller believed suspicious inviduals were inside a boarded-up apartment, possibly armed with a shotgun on the 300 block of East Elm Street.
Suspicious activity: 7:45 p.m. — A caller and a business owner received a note in the mail making threats on the 200 block of South School Street.
Assistance: 11:16 p.m. — A 65-year-old male in a wheelchair needed assistance getting into bed on the 1800 block of South Church Street.
