Between the hours of 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday the Lodi Police Department received 148 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls.


Pit stop: 8:19 a.m.— Someone was sleeping in a car in the alley on the 200 block of West Oak Street.

Shattered attempt: 8:36 a.m.— A broken bat was found on the front porch, believed to have been used in an attempted entry on the 2300 block of Tejon Street.

Anyone home?: 9:10 a.m. — An intoxicated male seen at a residence's front door with a black garbage bag on the 100 block of South Rose Street.

Lost and found: 12:16 p.m. — A bicycle, white trash bag and a baseball cap were left in the front yard of a residence on the 2400 block of Tejon Street.

Pallet theft: 1:54 p.m. — Pallets were stolen by a man in blue truck on the 2300 block of West Kettleman Lane.

House party: 3:15 p.m. — Transients were in a vacant residence on the 400 block of Flora Street.

Beverage run: 4:16 p.m. — Two male juveniles ran across the street with a bottle of alcohol in their hands. The caller believed they were intoxicated on the 500 block of West Lodi Avenue.

Hanging with friends: 6:18 p.m. — Subjects were being loud and drinking on the 200 block of Lambert Court.

Scratching escape: 7:34 p.m. — A man wearing a black hoodie jumped a fence on the 400 block of East Tokay Street and into the caller's vehicle. The caller's brother got into the vehicle and was scratched, before the man in black fled.

Search lights: 9:16 p.m. — A caller could see three flashlights shining in her backyard on the 200 block of North Fairmont Avenue.

Attention: 10:10 p.m. — An unknown person threw a rock at the caller's window on the 400 block of Maple Street.


No parking: 5:28 a.m. — A suspicious man was sitting in front of a business in black boots and jeans in a gray Ford SUV.

Forgotten wheels: 7:41 a.m. — A bike was abandoned in the front yard of a residence on the 200 block of Yosemite Drive.
