In the 24 hours since 9 a.m. Wednesday, the Lodi Police Department handled 166 calls for service. The following is a sample of calls received by dispatchers:


11:21 a.m.: Someone stole a blue 2006 Dodge Ram in the 400 block of West Lockeford Street.

11:26 a.m.: The male driver of a tan BMW was slamming on his brakes, trying to get a female driver to rear-end him as they traveled north on Lower Sacramento Road from Vine Street.

11:48 a.m.: A female was yelling out a window in the 800 block of Rutledge Drive, saying she was mad and that "everyone was going to find out how mad" she really was.

12:01 p.m.: After trying to pass a fake $100 bill at a fruit stand at Harney and Ham lanes, a man left in an older white Toyota.

3:05 p.m.: A bald man on a bicycle fled when an officer tried to stop him in the 300 block of East Tokay Street. After a chase over fences and into a home, he was arrested on warrants.

3:42 p.m.: Someone was assaulted and had money stolen from them at the 99 Cent Store, 300 W. Kettleman Lane.

4:04 p.m.: Four boys, around the ages of 12 to 14, were throwing rocks in the parking lot of the Library, 201 W. Locust St. One rock hit a gray Hyundai Sonata.

4:36 p.m.: Loss prevention employees were chasing two men at Food-4-Less, 2430 W. Kettleman Lane. One man left his shoes at the store and headed toward Wal-Mart.

6:20 p.m.: Someone was assaulted at Pleasant and Lockeford streets.

7:14 p.m.: A red-haired boy with a backpack had an open container of alcohol as he headed south in the 1100 block of North Ham Lane.

7:25 p.m.: A drunken red-haired woman in a pink shirt was throwing rocks at a train near East Lockeford Street and rolling around near the tracks.

10:51 p.m.: An extremely drunk 51-year-old bicyclist, who had no headlamp and was riding on the wrong side of the street, was hit by a vehicle at Lower Sacramento Road and Paradise Drive.


2:03 a.m.: A man in a red vehicle was trying to pay for his food with a counterfeit $100 bill at McDonald's, 200 W. Lodi Ave.

6:05 a.m.: A man was creating a disturbance and harassing a waitress at Village Coffee Shop, 416 W. Lodi Ave.

7:15 a.m.: Injuries were reported in an accident in the 1200 block of West Walnut Street.

8:28 a.m.: A male and female were having "relations" inside a white four-door sedan at Salas Park, 2001 S. Stockton St.

7:33 a.m.: The strong smell of marijuana was in the air on Elderica Way.
