Since 8 a.m. Monday, the Lodi Police Department received 183 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls:
Failed New Year’s resolution: 8:30 a.m. — An exercise bike was found in a driveway on the 1200 block of Edgewood Drive.
Shanty town: 9:45 a.m. — Transients were setting up a camp on the 1900 block of South Cherokee Lane.
I don’t wanna go: 11:15 a.m. — A male was sitting on a bench and refusing to leave the 600 block of North Sacramento Street.
Need help: 2:15 p.m. — A person wanted to speak with an officer about ongoing child custody issues with her boyfriend on the 200 block of West Elm Street.
Trying to make a living: 2:43 p.m. — An ice cream vendor on a bicycle was blocking a crosswalk and creating a traffic hazard on the 2200 block of Scarborough Drive.
Classy dame: 3:23 p.m. — A female transient urinated on the sidewalk on the 500 block of South Cherokee Lane.
Watch out: 4:44 p.m. — A woman in a wheelchair was hit by a vehicle on the 1200 block of Lodi Avenue. She was not seriously injured.
Last call: 5:09 p.m. — A caller said a mother left her child at a school on the 500 block of Eden Street because she was upset with her child.
Where there’s no fire: 5:23 p.m. — A report of a fire in an oven was made from the 1900 block of South Church Street.
Fight with fists: 6:07 p.m. — A man punched a woman on the 300 block of Flora Street before riding off on a bicycle.
Suspicious behavior: 8:16 p.m. — Three people were inside a vacant residence on the 400 block of San Pietro Lane using there cell phones as flashlights.
DUI: 11:18 p.m. — A drunk driver was holding a bottle of vodka while sitting in the driver’s seat on the 200 block of West Lockeford Street. The vehicle was a gold Dodge truck with a lift kit.
Seeing a lot of this: 7:45 p.m. — People were sleeping on the porch of a vacant residence on the 200 block of South Hutchins Street.
