Since 8 a.m. Wednesday, the Lodi Police Department received 205 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls.
Early morning jam session: 9:59 a.m. — People in an apartment complex in the 200 block of E. Locust Street were playing loud music.
Celebrating early: 1:43 p.m. — Two males in the Lodi Lake Nature Area at 1100 block of W. Turner Road were setting off illegal fireworks.
A break between the double feature?: 1:52 p.m. — Someone was sleeping in a brown sleeping bag in front of the Lodi movie theater in the 1100 block of Lodi Avenue.
Talk of drugs: 3:33 p.m. — At the back of Lodi Lake in the 1100 block of W. Turner Road a group of eight juveniles were drinking alcohol and talking about "cutting some lines."
DUI driver: 3:57 p.m. — A possible DUI driver in a black Hyundai Sonata was driving in the 400 block of W. Lodi Avenue.
Preparing for a July 4th barbecue: 4:56 p.m. — A caller requested police cite a woman for no trespassing after she attempted to steal meat from a business in the 2400 block of W. Kettleman Lane.
Poisoning the pooch: 5:01 p.m. — A woman called saying her neighbor was harassing her and possibly poisoned her dog in the 900 block of Woodrow Street.
Bad aim: 5:35 p.m. — A caller was upset at a neighbor who was spraypainting appliances and kept getting paint on the caller's car in the 400 block of East Lodi Avenue.
"Latin Kings"?: 8:25 p.m. — Males in the back yard of a home in the 1600 block of South Sacramento Street were talking about breaking into a caller's residence. The caller referred to them as "Latin Kings".
Chatty drunk: 8:50 p.m. — A woman driving a black Nissan Sentra in the 100 block of W. Kettleman Lane told the caller that she was drunk.
Quick camp fire: 9:49 p.m. — Someone was burning wood from a tree they just cut down in the backyard in the 500 block of E. Oak Street.
Gunshots: 10:44 p.m. — A caller heard three gunshots in the 600 block of Alto Way.
Noisy "working girls": 1:02 a.m. — A caller complained about noise from a neighbor in the 0 block of Vine Street. Caller said "they don't sleep at night and might be working girls."
Might need some training wheels: 5:26 a.m. — A man possibly fell off of his bike and was sitting on the corner in the 500 block of E. Lockeford Street.
