Since 8 a.m. Wednesday, the Lodi Police Department received 179 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls:

Wednesday

That's not how bowling works: 10:19 a.m. — A fake copper bowl was taken from the front yard on the 2800 block of Mosswood Drive.

Uninvited guests: 1:25 p.m. — Seven to eight males dressed in red were seen loitering behind two houses on the 600 block of South Garfield Street. The males were asked to leave but refused.

Maybe he was practicing for a play? 2:13 p.m. — A man in a white shirt was seen walking back and forth across the street on the 400 block of West Lockeford Street. He was also yelling, screaming and cursing.

Sharp eyes: 2:21 p.m. — A pile of approximately 15 needles was found behind a business alley parking lot on the 0 block of West Pine Street.

You're supposed to whittle wood: 2:56 p.m. — Someone carved up a car bumper on the 500 block of South Cherokee Street.

The loudest ninja: 4:43 p.m. — A person dressed in black was seen banging on a building on the 0 block of South Main Street.

And the messiest ninja: 5:05 p.m. — Someone broke into a house, made footprints on the walls and left evidence in the toilet on the 200 block of South Fairmont Street.

Reefer madness: 8:37 p.m. — Eight to nine gang-related males wearing red were seen smoking marijuana on the 600 block of South Garfield Street.

Thursday

Christmas come early? 2:35 a.m. — A man was seen looking through a Dumpster on the 1100 block of West Lockeford Street.
