In the 72 hours since 9 a.m. Friday, the Lodi Police Department received 455 calls for service. Below are a sample of those calls:
Nature boy: 9:09 a.m. — A 10-year-old male was walking barefoot on the 1100 block of South Ham Lane.
Unhealthy birds leave the nest, too: 10:06 a.m. — A dead bird was on the sidewalk of the 2300 block of Eilers Lane.
Product demonstration: 10:46 a.m. — Loud music was coming from a stereo shop on the 100 block of North Cherokee Lane.
Bad spot for a breakdown: 12:28 p.m. — A silver Chevrolet was struck on the median near the 1300 block of South Cherokee Lane.
Kids these days: 5:44 p.m. — A group of juveniles were riding skateboards near the 200 block of West Lodi Avenue.
Can’t leave valuables in the car: 6:11 p.m. — A caller on the 2300 block of West Kettleman Lane said someone stole the wallet out of their car.
Hi-tech help: 6:41 p.m. — A caller on the 1300 block of West Century Boulevard wanted advice on how to deal with someone who was possibly stealing information over Wi-Fi.
Big brawl: 7:18 p.m. — A caller said about 10 males were fighting on the 800 block of Lloyd Street.
We’re all really impressed: 8:39 p.m. — A possibly drunk male was refusing to leave an establishment on the 100 block of West Turner Road. The subject was drinking other people’s drinks and said he was a professional fighter.
Turning in for the night: 10:58 p.m. — A male was laying in the middle of the street on the 400 block of Mendocino Drive.
Rep your set: 10:43 a.m. — A man with tattoos was waving a red flag on the 1200 block of West Lockeford Street. Caller was worried it was gang-related.
Watch where you’re going: 12:46 p.m. — Caller said a female in a green Ford Explorer attempted to run her over on the 100 block of North Washington Street.
Nap time: 2:34 p.m. — A man on the 0 block of West Lodi Avenue was passed out inside a business.
I wanna rock you: 3:14 p.m. — A caller said a black Tahoe with a really loud stereo was rocking the whole neighborhood in the 400 block of Valley Avenue.
Smoky situation: 7:09 p.m. — An apartment was full of smoke from an upstairs fireplace in the 400 block of Almond Drive.
Doubt that’s Gatorade: 9:10 p.m. — Juveniles were drinking near basketball courts in the 100 block of South Hutchins Street.
Must have been a bad one: 10:46 p.m. — A caller wanted police to check an ID from someone inside a bar in the 300 block of North California Street. They believed it was a fake ID.
Young whippersnappers: 11:35 p.m. — Juveniles on skateboards were in front of a business being noisy in the 200 block of West Lodi Avenue.
Stolen Honda: 4:44 a.m. — A 1992 Honda Accord was reported stolen in the 400 block of East Lodi Avenue.
Naughty neighbor: 11:53 a.m. — A caller said his neighbor was sneaking into his backyard at night in the 800 block of South Cherokee Lane.
Shake it: 1:16 p.m. — A caller reported very, very loud music that was thumping and making windows shake in the 100 block of North Cherokee Lane.
Young taggers: 1:42 p.m. — Three juveniles were spray painting a fence in the middle of an apartment complex in the 400 block of Almond Drive.
That sounds real safe: 4:51 p.m. — Subjects were riding dirt bikes on a property in the 1200 block of South Central Avenue, one with no helmet.
You’re in trouble: 7:33 p.m. — Two females were being taken into custody for petty theft in the 500 block of South Cherokee Lane.
