In the 97 hours after 9 a.m. Friday, the Lodi Police Department received 608 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls:
Grey Goose thief: 10:07 a.m. — A man stole two bottles of Grey Goose vodka in the 1000 block of West Kettleman Lane.
Dead squirrel: 10:36 a.m. — A dead squirrel was in the street in the 0 block of North Allen Drive.
Dropped classes: 2:00 p.m. — A woman said her ex accessed her information on the Internet and un-enrolled her from college courses in the 1200 block of West Century Boulevard.
Stolen newspapers: 2:40 p.m. — A caller complained their newspaper had been stolen every morning for the last two weeks in the 1900 block of Jamestown Drive.
Looking for batteries: 9:30 a.m. — Two men were walking door-to-door in the 2100 block of Corbin Lane, asking for old batteries.
Ax lifter: 11:56 a.m. — A caller said a male shoplifter was taking items in the 500 block of South Cherokee Lane, and was putting a small ax under his jacket.
Honk for Jesus: 2:19 p.m. — A caller said subjects with Jesus signs and bull horns were encouraging drivers to honk for Jesus in the 200 block of South Central Avenue.
Fireworks: 11:04 p.m. — A subject was shooting off rockets or fireworks behind a caller's residence in the 1300 block of West Lodi Avenue.
Broken window: 12:25 a.m. — Juveniles came onto a caller's porch in the 500 block of East Locust Street and broke his window.
Loud rap music: 10:10 a.m. — A caller complained of loud rap music in the 200 block of South Pleasant Avenue.
Teens tearing up tires: 1:59 p.m. — Someone witnessed four teens puncturing the tires of a white vehicle in the 500 block of South School Street.
Drinking on the ground: 6:00 p.m. — A drunk man was drinking on the ground behind a tire shop in the 0 block of North Sacramento Street.
Hot tub party: 12:38 a.m. — A loud hot tub party was going on in a backyard in the 1100 block of Heidelberg way.
Stolen Xbox: 12:22 p.m. — A juvenile caller said a subject in a silver Toyota in front of his residence had his stolen Xbox. In the 400 block of South Washington Street.
Drinking on the court: 2:39 p.m. — A caller said 20 Nortenos were gathering on a handball court in the 100 block of South Hutchins Street and drinking beer.
Mailbox vandals: 9:24 p.m. — Two juveniles were writing on mailboxes with permanent markers in the 1600 block of Foxborough Way.
