Between the hours of 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday the Lodi Police Department received 144 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls.
Busted ride: 9:01 a.m. — A black Toyota with a broken window had been parked for a week in a lot on the 400 block of North Stockton Street.
Shady recycling: 10 a.m. — A homeless woman was seen going through garbage cans near a tree on the 2300 block of Alpine Drive.
Speed racer: 4:15 p.m. — A gold Oldsmobile was being chased by a white car on the 2900 block of Harney Lane and South Hutchins Street.
Confined: 4:51 p.m. — Dogs were locked in a gray Honda with the windows rolled up on the 100 block of Lakewood Mall.
School's out: 5:41 p.m. — Two juvenile males set off an alarm at a school on the 400 block of Pleasant Avenue.
Shocking visit: 6:42 p.m. — A man has came to the caller's door, claiming that he worked for PG&E, and asked to see her bill and ask her some questions on the 900 block of Tara Place.
Tight rope: 6:51 p.m. — Three juveniles were seen pulling a rope across the street on the 0 block of Sacramento and Elm streets.
Sleeping stoop: 7:05 p.m. — Subject was sleeping at the front door of a building on the 600 block of Sacramento Street.
Playing cops: 7:33 p.m. — Two subjects working at a business claimed to be police officers, showed the caller a badge, and said they were investigating the business on the 900 block of Vine Street.
Come on over rover: 9 p.m. — A white and black pit bull chased the caller on the 300 block of Forrest Avenue.
Laundry service: 9:04 p.m. — A man with a bike was seen carrying clothing in a parking lot on the 300 block of South Orange Avenue.
Can anyone hear me?: 10:41 p.m. — A male was yelling on Lodi Avenue near a business on the 300 block of South Orange Avenue.
Out cold: 7:41 a.m. — A male was passed out in a green Honda on the 300 block of Driftwood Drive.
