In the 24 hours since 9 a.m. Tuesday, the Lodi Police Department handled 196 calls for service. The following is a sample of calls received by dispatchers:

Tuesday

11:29 a.m.: After a fight and road rage incident at Church Street and Kettleman Lane, a blond suspect headed south in a gray Chevrolet Tahoe.

12:09 p.m.: A residence was burglarized in the 300 block of North Stockton Street.

12:30 p.m.: Someone was working on projects and leaving equipment on the sidewalk in the 0-100 block of South Sacramento Street.

12:39 p.m.: A heavy-set woman assaulted someone's mother at the Star Hotel, 22 S. Main St.

12:47 p.m.: A man was lying on the ground with covers over him behind Safeway, 2449 W. Kettleman Lane.

12:50 p.m.: Employees were spraying a bird's nest to remove it, but it had birds in it, at Lowe's, 1389 S. Lower Sacramento Road.

1:11 p.m.: Six to eight men and a woman, all apparently transients, were physically fighting near the bathrooms at Lawrence Park, 350 N. Washington St.

3:27 p.m.: A Mammoth Way man was threatening suicide, was drunk and had used a razor blade to carve the word "hate" on his chest.

3:40 p.m.: A school bus driver and a student got into a fight near Meadow Drive and Mullberry Circle.

4:48 p.m.: About seven people got into a fight at Harney Lane and Hutchins Street. Someone had a knife, but nobody was stabbed.

5:10 p.m.: Someone burglarized the snack shack at the Softball Complex, 401 N. Stockton St., on Saturday night.

5:40 p.m.: A home was burglarized in the 200 block of East Tokay Street.

5:42 p.m.: A man was throwing nails during a dispute with a neighbor in the 400 block of Flora Street.

7:49 p.m.: A drunken man was disturbing a church service at Zion Christian Fellowship, 715 S. Central Ave. He also had a local warrant.

9:21 p.m.: Injuries were reported when a black Honda and a blue Nissan collided at Stockton Street and Harney Lane.

9:23 p.m.: Three gunshots were heard on Kirkwood Drive, possibly coming from somewhere near Lakewood School.

10:05 p.m.: Multiple people heard multiple gunshots near Mariposa Way and Westwood Avenue.

11:59 p.m.: Someone was hurt in a hit-and-run accident 30 minutes earlier in the 1700 block of Colombard Circle.

Wednesday

1:35 a.m.: A man in a black sweatshirt stole a garbage can from Fortune Teller, 623 S. Cherokee Lane.

4:04 a.m.: Big Lots, 380 S. Cherokee Lane, was burglarized.

7:53 a.m.: A female was sitting on the Victor Road overpass with her legs dangling over Highway 99.
