Between the hours of 8 a.m. Wednesday to 8 a.m. Thursday, the Lodi Police Department received 139 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls.


Full of air: 8:15 a.m. — A compressor was stolen from the 2600 block of Reynolds Ranch Parkway.

Recycling run: 9:13 a.m. — A man in a white Chevrolet Impala was chasing a teen carrying a bag full of cans, running red lights to keep up on the 100 block of West Kettleman Lane and South Church Street.

Free rent: 9:35 a.m. — Transients were found in a residence on the 400 block of Flora Street.

Marking territory: 11:12 a.m. — Employee for Parks and Recreations advises they have a strip of cement drying at Daisy and Forrest avenues. A female adult with a small dog was seen writing in the wet cement on the 600 block of North Pleasant Avenue.

Drug free zone: 11:43 a.m. — A needle and spoon were found in front of a residence. The caller wanted police to check if it contained heroin on the 400 block of East Alan Avenue.

Horse parking: 12:22 p.m. — A white Ford Mustang was blocking the driveway to a residence on the 1700 block of West Locust Street.

Shot fired: 1:11 p.m. — A gunshot was heard on the 100 block of East Locust Street and North Stockton Street.

Lockdown: 1:31 p.m. — A dog was reported to be locked inside a black Jeep on the 2200 block of Reynolds Ranch Parkway.

Fight club: 2:28 p.m. — A large group of teens were fighting on the 200 block of North Loma Drive and West Lockeford Street.

Where’s my bike?: 3:40 p.m. — A bike was stolen on the 600 block of West Lodi Avenue.

Bright escape: 4:04 p.m. — A Chihuahua wearing a yellow shirt was seen wandering on the 0 block of North Hutchins Street and West Pine Street.

No emergency exit: 7:19 p.m. — A woman was in the emergency room lobby refusing to leave on the 900 block of South Fairmont Avenue.

No camping: 8:09 p.m. — A possible transient was camped out behind Roger’s Railroad Junction on the 100 block of Sacramento Street.

Hurdles: 8:26 p.m. — Caller saw four juveniles jumping a fence to a residence on the 1900 block of West Century Boulevard and South Mills Avenue.

Doorknob check: 8:34 p.m. — Two subjects — one with a shopping cart, the other in a red shirt — were seen checking doors on the 0 block of North Hutchins Street and West Elm Street.


Intruder alert: 12:58 a.m. — A caller reported subjects trying to break into his residence on the 400 block of Flora Street.

I need transportation: 1:15 a.m. — Two men — one in a black hoodie and one in a beanie — were seen trying the handles of vehicles on the 2600 block of Park West Drive.

Shots heard: 1:23 a.m. — Caller reported hearing multiple gunshots on the 900 block of Rutledge Drive and West Turner Road.

Gimme beer: 2:04 a.m. — A customer was arguing with an employee because he would not sell him beer on the 600 block of East Kettleman Lane.

Staying put: 2:30 a.m. — A female transient was refusing to leave on the 700 block of East Kettleman Lane.

Smoky ride: 4:30 a.m. — Vehicle fire in front of the hotel on the 1300 block of East Kettleman Lane.
