The Lodi Police Department received 157 calls for service between the hours of 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday. Below is a sample of those calls.
Keep waiting: 8:31 a.m. — A man in a brown shirt and black pants was standing on the 200 block of Lodi Avenue and waiting for the "money people."
Just in case: 8:46 a.m. — A caller filed a report for a wallet lost over a month ago in case of identity theft from the 0 block of Garfield Street.
Knock knock: 10:53 a.m. — A man was walking door to door on the 0 block of Hutchins Street asking questions and possibly looking for a vacant residence.
No shopping here: 12:07 p.m. — Juveniles with shopping carts were behind a residence on the 1000 block of Awani Drive and going to the trestle.
Rock on: 3:51 p.m. — A large rock was thrown into a pool by a neighbor on the 1100 block of Edgewood Drive. The homeowner wanted the police to see the rock and to advise neighbors that it was "unacceptable behavior."
Free samples?: 6:14 p.m. — A man wearing a gray shirt on his head entered a business on the 1000 block of North Cherokee Lane and offered drugs to an employee.
Anything's possible: 8:55 p.m. — Several possible gang members were walking near the 400 block of Lodi Avenue and a caller suspected there might be a gang fight, though no weapons were seen.
Hungry: 10:24 p.m. — A subject was begging drive-thru customers for money and food on the 200 block of North Cherokee Lane.
Back off: 11:06 p.m. — Five people were asking for money in front of a store on the 600 block of West Kettleman Lane. One man followed a woman to her car.
Laundry day: 1:13 a.m. — Three people were loitering in a laundry room on the 500 block of east Oak Street.
Not yours: 5:15 a.m. — A caller saw a man trying to get into his neighbor's car parked in the driveway on the 700 block of Lee Street.
