In the 24 hours after 9 a.m. Monday, the Lodi Police Department made 10 arrests and handled 148 calls for service. The following is a sample of calls received by dispatchers:
9:21 a.m.: A 45-year-old man took psychedelic mushrooms, drank alcohol and was in the bathroom of an apartment at Tuscany Ridge Apartments, 1830 S. Hutchins St. He was hospitalized and then booked into jail around 4 p.m.
9:48 a.m.: A man who had been released from police custody in March was reported missing.
10:48 a.m.: Nobody was injured but traffic backed up after four vehicles collided on eastbound Kettleman Lane near Stockton Street.
12:47 p.m.: Someone forged a prescription and took it to Walgreens, 75 N. Ham Lane.
1:54 p.m.: When a semi truck from Illinois tried to make a turn, it hit a pole and damaged the crosswalk button near Safeway, 2449 W. Kettleman Lane. Then it went across Lower Sacramento Road to the Lowes parking lot, where it knocked over a cement garbage can.
2:09 p.m.: Someone was battered at Lodi High School, 3 S. Pacific Ave.
3:35 p.m.: A parolee threatened his mother in the 300 block of East Pine Street.
3:49 p.m.: A boy threatened a male's life at Tokay High School, 1111 W. Century Blvd.
4:28 p.m.: The previous night, three men robbed a male of his wallet and iPod near Tamarack and Sunset drives.
Bad dogs, or owner
5:39 p.m.: A man's two dogs were off their leashes on the campus of Lodi Adult School, 524 E. Pine St. It's an ongoing problem, with dog waste being left behind.
Not a golf course
6:28 p.m.: A male was hitting golf balls in the "dog park" area of Lodi Lake, 1301 W. Turner Road.
6:34 p.m.: A woman hit another woman at Water Hole on the corner of Victor Road and Cluff Avenue. The victim, who had a bloody nose, declined medical aide.
7:50 p.m.: A sexual assault was reported.
10:21 p.m.: People in a four-door Chevrolet Impala pointed a gun at a male on Cherry Street.
10:36 p.m.: A 38-year-old man, who was possibly under the influence of methamphetamine, and his 18-year-old nephew were fighting on Maravich Lane.
10:56 p.m.: The drunken female driver of a red two-door vehicle crashed into a box in front of Lodi Wine and Business Center, 1160 N. Guild Ave. Injuries were reported.
BB gun shooters
12:31 a.m.: Two men and two women were shooting BB guns at cars and signs in the 2500 block of Winchester Drive.
2:27 a.m.: A prowler in a red sweater and blue pajama bottoms was trying to open car doors and was talking to himself in the 400 block of Daisy Avenue.
2:38 a.m.: A drunken driver was arrested at Church Street and Lodi Avenue.
5:29 a.m.: A man was slumped over the wheel of a dark-colored truck at Orchard Supply Hardware, 360 S. Cherokee Lane. Then the horn began blowing continuously. And then police arrested the man for driving under the influence.
6:58 a.m.: Two people stole a computer and several electronic items from Wal-Mart, 2350 W. Kettleman Lane. They headed east in an older blue or silver Honda Civic.
8:11 a.m.: Someone stole a maroon 1997 Chevrolet Tahoe from Tuscany Ridge Apartments, 1830 S. Hutchins St.
