Since 8 a.m. Thursday, the Lodi Police Department received 812 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls.

Thursday

Reckless driving: 8:27 a.m. — A driver in a gray Volvo was driving recklessly on the 700 block of Calaveras Street.

Petty theft: 8:48 a.m. — Sprinklers were stolen from a home on the 1400 block of West Lockeford Street.

Nappy-poo: 11:17 a.m. — A male, possibly drunk, was laying on a lawn on the 500 block of Murray Street.

Smushed pooch: 12:08 p.m. — A dog was hit by a vehicle on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

Squeaky clean?: 1:39 p.m. — A black male in a white long sleeve shirt was selling soap door-to-door on the 1700 block of Providence Way.

Sounds about right: 5:15 p.m. — A dark colored Ford Mustang with racing decals was driving at high speeds on the 900 block of North Cluff Avenue.

Kids today: 9:23 p.m. — Two juveniles tied a broomstick to the front door of a residence on the 1500 block of Blackbird Place. The door could not be opened because of it.

Friday

Vandalism: 1:09 a.m. — A brick was thrown through a window on the 1500 block of South Mills Avenue.

Burglary call: 8:21 a.m. — A lock was cut and someone stole several tires from the 700 block of East Lodi Avenue.

Happy end: 1:37 p.m. — A dog was found on the 1300 block of West Kettleman Lane.

Trespasser: 3:41 p.m. — A male was trespassing on property on the 2000 block of Lower Sacramento Road. The caller said he chased the man with "dark hair and real bad teeth" off his property.

Cry for help: 7:14 p.m. — A caller on the 300 block of Layland Drive said she received a text message from a friend saying they were going to hurt themselves.

Gunshots: 9:01 p.m. — Two gunshots were heard on the 300 block of Hilborn Street.

Saturday

Late-night chores: 1:34 a.m. — A caller wanted the neighbors on the 2500 block of Winchester Drive to turn off their washing machine.

Emergency call: 9:31 a.m. — A person was stuck in a ladies bathroom on the 200 block of North Cherokee Lane.

Loving spouse: 11:15 a.m. — A caller on the 700 block of South Cherokee Lane said her husband was driving with a suspended license and wants him arrested.

Disturbance: 2:53 p.m. — A "chunky" female in her 40s was banging on doors on the 900 block of South Garfield Street.

Not sure you understand that phrase: 3:34 p.m. — A caller on the 1400 block of South Sacramento Street said there was going to be a fight near her residence because the neighbors are "hitting on each other."

Action hero: 4:51 p.m. — A white female was riding on the roof of a vehicle on the 300 block of North Ham Lane.

Bad neighbor: 5:43 p.m. — A caller said her neighbor was throwing wood at her fence on the 1800 block of West Walnut Street.

Mobile library: 8:05 p.m. — A subject was selling children's books on the 1000 block of Yokuts Drive.

Sunday

Non-injury accident: 1:28 a.m. — A vehicle collided with a fence on the 600 block of Alicante Drive.

Make up your mind: 6:07 a.m. — A man receiving medical care on the 900 block of South Fairmont Avenue signed himself out but refused to leave.

Communal dryers don't mean communal clothes: 10:49 a.m. — A caller said a fellow tenant took her clothes out of a dryer and wouldn't answer the door when she knocked. The call came from the 300 block of West Century Boulevard.

Better pick those up: 12:27 p.m. — Shotgun ammunition was found on the 2600 block of Paradise Drive.

Dog attack: 4:25 p.m. — Two large dogs attacked a chihuahua on the 1000 block of South Church Street.

Emergency call: 7:11 p.m. — A 4-year-old male had "something" in his ear on the 1200 block of South Washington Street.

Rational response: 9:36 p.m. — Neighbors were arguing on the 300 block of North Pleasant Avenue when a female began breaking glass and throwing cherries at the caller's vehicle.

Monday

We're closed: 12:54 a.m. — Several Hispanic males — possibly "gang related" —were trying to enter a bar as staff were trying to close on the 100 block of North Sacramento Street.

Low life: 8:24 a.m. — A driver in a white Geo Tracker tried to take a donation bucket on the 300 block of West Kettleman Lane.

Seems like a good place for that: 11:30 a.m. — An unconscious subject was in a cemetery on the 800 block of Industrial Way.

Loud bike: 5:28 p.m. — A loud motorcycle in the area was believed to be associated with an address on the 700 block of Golden Avenue.

Odd: 6:57 p.m. — A purse was stolen from a restaurant on the 2600 block of West Kettleman Lane. Later, the thief called the victim and said he took the purse to "protect it" and wanted to return it.

Beer-thirty: 11:12 p.m. — Two Hispanic males stole two 18-packs of Coors Light from the 1100 block of East Kettleman Lane.

Tuesday

Learn to park: 6:06 a.m. — A vehicle was blocking a driveway on the 700 block of North Crescent Avenue.
