Between the hours of 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday the Lodi Police Department received 250 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls.

Wednesday

Forgotten ride: 8:59 a.m. — An abandoned bike was found on a school campus on the 1800 block of West Elm Street.

Freebies: 9:41 a.m. — A male was seen going through the Dumpsters on the 2300 block of Portsmouth Drive.

Bombs away: 11:40 a.m. — Juveniles were throwing rocks at cars from behind a fence on the 400 block of Harney Lane and South Hutchins Street.

Stick ball: 12:38 p.m. — A man with a walking stick at the intersection tried to hit a subject passing by on a bike on the 400 block of East Lockeford Street.

I'm on a boat!: 2 p.m. — A woman stated her sister's orange Honda Element was in the lake to the right, and the caller wanted a search for the vehicle on the 1100 block of West Turner Road.

Turn it down!: 2:38 p.m. — The caller reported there was loud music from downstairs on the 400 block of Pine Street.

Foot chase: 2:42 p.m. — A black Jeep chased a woman walking on the 400 block of North Sacramento Street.

Underage: 5:54 p.m. — Two juveniles were reportedly drinking and smoking drugs on the canal behind a residence on the 1300 block of West Century Boulevard.

Canal hangout: 6:24 p.m. — Two men were on the canal behind a residence for over 30 minutes on the 1900 block of Mimosa Way.

Loud mouth: 6:39 p.m. — A Hispanic male was yelling at passing vehicles on the 500 block of West Lockeford Street.

Hey! Listen!: 18:22 p.m. — An intoxicated man was yelling in the park near the playground on the 1000 block of South Stockton Street.

Spare change: 9:12 p.m. — Two men were asking customers for money on the 200 block of West Lockeford Street

I'm not going anywhere: 10:28 p.m. — A man in a black shirt refused to leave a business on the 200 block of North Ham Lane.

Parking while intoxicated: 10:28 p.m. — Four men were acting intoxicated and sitting in a white vehicle across the entrance of the complex on the 300 block on South Orange Avenue.

Fencing: 11:26 p.m. — An intoxicated man was yelling and hitting fences on the 200 block of North School Street and Lockeford Street.

Thursday

Shots heard: 1:48 a.m. — Three gunshots were heard on the 500 block of East Pine Street.

Free booze: 3:33 a.m. — A caller reported that beer was stolen on the 200 block of West Lockeford Street.

Stolen education: 7:35 a.m. — A classroom was burglarized on the 1800 block of West Elm Street.

They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl.
