Since 8 a.m. Monday, the Lodi Police Department received 160 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls:


Vehicle theft: 8:07 a.m. — Someone broke a window and stole a car in front of the apartments in the 1800 block of South Hutchins Street.

Shoeless yeller: 8:15 a.m. — A shoeless man was screaming while walking southbound in the 300 block of North Cherokee Lane.

Don’t forget the dishware: 9:20 a.m. — People were taking items from a dishwasher and stove in a foreclosure in the 2100 block of South Mills Avenue.

Flattened foot: 9:39 a.m. — A 16-year-old girl had her foot run over while crossing the street on Monday, but did not seek care or report it until Tuesday. She was at the Lodi Memorial Hospital Urgent Care Clinic in the 0 block of North Cherokee Lane.

Fake dollars: 10:04 a.m. — There was a man who received fraudulent money in the 0 block of West Tokay Street.

Plant drama: 12:11 p.m. — Neighbors were in a dispute over plants and yards in the 800 block of South Cherokee Lane.

Not ready for school: 1:22 p.m. — A man was on the school grounds in the 900 block of S. Ham Lane passed out and with his shoes off.

Reckless driving: 1:52 p.m. There was a reckless driver going eastbound on Turner in the 900 block of North Ham Lane.

Inmate mischief: 2:08 p.m. — Roadworkers who were possibly inmate roadside workers were jumping in front of cars in the 700 block of East Victor Road.

It’s all fun and games until ...: 2:53 p.m. — A juvenile threw a rock at another juvenile in the 1100 block of South Mills Avenue.

Too many tattooed men: 3:40 p.m. — About 38 heavily tattooed males were gathered at the corner in the 0 block of Mulberry Court.

Strenuous shopping trip: 4:09 p.m. — There was a man passed out in the roadway, and their shopping cart was also in the roadway in the 1300 block of South Cherokee Lane.

Drunk mom: 4:54 p.m. — A woman called in because her mother was possibly driving drunk in the 1900 block of West Pine Street. She had her mom pulled over and had the keys.

Down and out: 5:41 p.m. — There was a homeless man with a shopping cart face down in the 300 block of East Kettleman Lane.

Strange guests: 8:50 p.m. — A caller said there were three unknown males inside his bedroom in the 1300 block of Lakeshore Drive.

Block party?: 10:31 p.m. — There were 10 to 15 subjects drinking in a driveway in the 400 block of Church Street.

Taking environmentalism too far?: 10:33 p.m. — A man driving a Toyota Prius was dumpster diving in the 200 block of West Walnut Street.


Angry at trash: 12:45 a.m. — There was a male and female kicking over trash cans in the Savemart parking lot in the 1300 block of South Hutchins Street.

You’re holding up the line: 2:26 a.m. — Subjects were passed out in the drive thru at the Jack in the Box in the 2400 block of West Kettleman Lane. The car left the lot about 5 to 10 minutes ago.

Rowdy bicyclist: 2:44 a.m. — A man was screaming on a bike in the alley behind a bar in the 0 block of South School Street.

Too early for landscaping: 6:55 a.m. — There was an ongoing problem with a man in the area doing lawnwork very early.
