In the 48 hours after 9 a.m. Monday, the Lodi Police Department handled 305 calls for police and fire service. The following is a sample of calls received by dispatchers.
9:18 a.m. - Someone was walking around in the 100 block of San Marcos Drive, aggressively looking for someone or something. The person was 5 feet 11 inches tall, 200 pounds, wore a black T-shirt and had curly hair, but the observant caller didn't know if the person was male or female.
10:15 a.m. - A man pulled a gun on someone in the 300 block of East Walnut Street.
11 a.m. - A building was burglarized in the 400 block of East Walnut Street.
11:51 a.m. - Raccoons were trespassing in a woman's Hampton Drive attic.
12:46 p.m. - Someone stole a vehicle in the 500 block of Sonora Avenue.
Stolen catalytic converter
1:56 p.m. - A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle at Park and Ride, at the corner of Beckman and Victor roads.
3:40 p.m. - Someone entered a neighbor's yard in the 2100 block of West Pine Street and called for the resident's dog. The dog barked, and the owner thought the trespasser was intentionally making the dog bark in order to report it to animal control officers.
3:40 p.m. - Three male transients were refusing to leave - and to stay gone - Quality Sound, 220 N. Sacramento St. Officers arrived, the transients understood the request to leave and then did so.
Vehicle vs. tree
4:04 p.m. - Nobody was injured when a vehicle hit a tree at Lodi Avenue and Stockton Street.
4:43 p.m. - A female was possibly taken by force into a vehicle in the 200 block of North Cherokee Lane. The vehicle then left the area.
5:56 p.m. - A boy in a purple shirt was jumping in front of traffic behind Food-4-Less, 2430 W. Kettleman Lane.
Robbed of a phone
8:39 p.m. - Three men forcibly stole a phone from a female in the 700 block of South Cherokee Lane, then fled into a nearby apartment complex.
8:52 p.m. - Someone dumped two recliners in the middle of the intersection at Guild Avenue and Pine Street. The Ford pick-up truck then left the area.
Warrant, rooftop included
12:36 a.m. - Police went looking for someone with a warrant in the 0-100 block of South Main St. In the process, a citizen came down from a roof and said the suspect wasn't there.
12:50 a.m. - A vehicle caught fire in the 1900 block of Ayers Avenue.
7:58 a.m. - Someone stole a tan Dodge in the 0-100 block of Genie Way.
