Since 8 a.m. Friday, the Lodi Police Department received 1,041 calls for service. Below is a sample of those calls:

Friday

Covert drug deal?: 9:17 a.m. — A caller on the 2300 block of West Kettleman Lane believed a drug deal was taking place between a solicitor and employee of the retail store.

Transporter: 10:42 a.m. — A caller said a subject in a white Volvo had jumped into the moon roof of another vehicle near the 0 block of North Lower Sacramento Road.

That's not a bed: 11:54 a.m. — A transient was sleeping in a parking space near garbage cans on the 100 block of North Sacramento Street.

Norteños?: 6:54 p.m. — A group of "gang types" wearing red were using marijuana, a caller on the 700 block of South Central Avenue said.

Pill-bo Baggins: 8:27 p.m. — Prescription pills were reported stolen on the 2000 block of West Turner Road. The caller said they believed an employee on the scene was to blame.

So it begins: 9:34 p.m. — Fireworks were being lit on the 500 block of Forrest Avenue.

That's mature: 10:05 p.m. — Subjects were throwing fireworks in front of a vehicle on the 1800 block of South Cherokee Lane.

Saturday

Catfight: 1:54 a.m. — Two girls were fighting on the 100 block of East Oak Street.

Suspicious: 3:29 a.m. — A caller said a truck dumped something in a Dumpster behind a business on the 400 block of Chestnut Street and now the contents were whistling.

Pick and pull: 5:42 a.m. — A catalytic converter was stolen on the 1000 block of West Harney Lane by a subject possibly in a Honda Accord.

Mom of the year: 11:04 a.m. — An infant was left inside a running vehicle on the 1100 block of East Kettleman Lane while the mother was inside ordering a coffee. The car's air conditioner was on, the caller said.

Statute of limitations?: 3 p.m. — A caller on the 700 block of West Century Boulevard wanted to make a report on her daughter, who committed a fraud 10 years ago.

That is out of a movie: 5:10 p.m. — Two dogs bit a postal carrier on the 300 block of Wood Drive. The carrier went to an urgent care clinic for treatment.

Idiots: 7:15 p.m. — Two males exited a brown truck with kayaks on the 700 block of West Kettleman Lane and walked towards the river.

This is why we can't have nice things: 7:51 p.m. — A group of kids "put something inside the statue of the guitar player" on the 0 block of School Street and "the statue is smoking."

Sunday

Step up patrols?: 12:09 p.m. — A caller on the 200 block of North Mills Avenue said he was upset more vehicles weren't stopping at the stop signs on the corner. He said he understood the street is "torn up" but said motorists aren't respecting basic safety laws.

Winning combination: 3:35 p.m. — A male who was "off his meds" and "drinking" was "uncooperative with his family" on the 300 block of East Walnut Street.

Emergency call: 5:51 p.m. — An ambulance was requested for an intoxicated minor on the 800 block of Dorchester Circle.

More celebrations: 8:40 p.m. — Subjects were shooting off bottlerockets near the 400 block of West Oak Street.

This isn't Cinemax: 9:08 p.m. — A caller on the 900 block of Rutledge Drive wanted to speak to an officer about a pizza delivery guy who forced his way into her apartment.

Fireworks: 10:03 p.m. — A caller said subjects were lighting off fireworks near the 300 block of Culbertson Drive. The caller said she heard something hit her roof.

Gunshots?: 11:09 p.m. — Possible gunshots were reported on the 200 block of West Century Boulevard.

Monday

You're so tough and cool: 3:33 a.m. — Two juveniles knocked over a sign on the 800 block of South Church Street.

Go home: 7:37 a.m. — A toddler was in a park alone on the 0 block of North Hutchins Street.

Beer run: 11:38 a.m. — A shirtless Hispanic male swiped some beer from a store on the 300 block of East Lodi Avenue.

Patience is a virtue: 2:33 p.m. — Traffic was backing up and vehicles were blowing through the stop sign on the 200 block of North Mills Avenue.

Again?: 8:41 p.m. — Subjects south of a caller on the 1500 block of Mariposa Way were shooting fireworks into the air.
