In the 24 hours after 9 a.m. Thursday, the Lodi Police Department handled 163 calls for service. The following is a sample of calls received by dispatchers:

Thursday

Threats

10:04 a.m. - A South Stockton Street man made death threats against his wife.

Identity Theft

10:54 a.m. - Someone was using a Lodi woman's Social Security number to obtain DirecTV in Florida.

Mistaken house?

11:55 a.m. - A man went to a door twice in the 1700 block of Burgundy Drive, insisting that a certain woman lived there. The catch: She didn't.

Found Child

12:40 p.m. - A man found a 1-year-old child in the middle of the 300 block of Maple Street.

Knife Throwers

12:44 p.m. - Two men were throwing a knife at a tree at Hutchins Street Square, 125 S. Hutchins St. One was arrested for violating a court order.

Stolen Vehicles

1:09 p.m. - A vehicle was stolen during the night in the 900 block of West Kettleman Lane.

7:33 p.m. - Someone stole a white and teal 1996 Dodge pick-up truck in the 1300 block of East Pine Street.

Sex in the park?

1:36 p.m. - A male and a female were engaging in sexual activity on the grass at the south end of Salas Park, 2001 S. Stockton St. They were fully clothed and cuddling when police arrived.

Seeking a gunshot victim

2:21 p.m. - A theft suspect was possibly in the 500 block of East Vine Street with untreated shotgun wounds. He may have been shot when he tried to steal an iPod in Calaveras County, sought medical treatment, then left when people started asking questions. Police didn't find him at the Lodi home.

Cussing Man

4:30 p.m. - A man was cussing at someone who was waiting for a GrapeLine bus at the Depot, 24 S. Sacramento St.

Three-vehicle crash

5:08 p.m. - Nobody was injured when three vehicles collided at Kettleman Lane and Stockton Street.

Drunken Driver

5:50 p.m. - A 23-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence after crashing into a parked car at Tokay Street and Central Avenue. Though someone was in the parked car, nobody was injured.

Not a bike parking place

7:24 p.m. - Someone left a bicycle in the middle of the northbound lanes of Cherokee Lane near Hale Road.

Bottle Breaker

7:41 p.m. - A drunken man was starting fights and breaking bottles behind Star Market, 741 S. Cherokee Lane. He was arrested.

Suspicious Knocker

8:35 p.m. - A man knocked on a door in the 1900 block of Jamestown Drive, flashed a paper, said nothing and left.

Possible gang shooting

8:54 p.m. - Two men asked two males if they were gang members in the 500 block of East Locust Street. Then one of the men shot at their house, but instead hit a vehicle. Nobody was injured, and police didn't have further information Friday because reports weren't written on the case.

Check Fraud

9:05 p.m. - Two women were trying to cash suspicious checks at Wal-Mart, 2350 W. Kettleman Lane. Both, ages 29 and 32, were arrested on suspicion of forgery, and one was on parole.

Mental Health

9:06 p.m. - An elderly man with apparent dementia assaulted a family member on West Elm Street. He was taken to mental health.

Definitely Drunk

10:14 p.m. - A drunken man was punching at light poles, harassing passersby and then urinated on himself in front of the Lodi Stadium 12 Theater, 109 N. School St. He was arrested for public intoxication.

Friday

Grand Theft

12:30 a.m. - Property valued at more than $400 was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 900 block of South Pleasant Avenue.

Early Noise

6:47 a.m. - Heavy equipment was making too much noise before 7 a.m., the city's noise ordinance time, at Wine and Roses Hotel, 2505 W. Turner Road.

Gas Leak

8:17 a.m. - Gas leaked at Rent-A-Center, 320 W. Kettleman Lane.
