Farm Bureau makes up with Viaggio

Posted: Wednesday, August 4, 2010 12:00 am

Kent Raverty, owner of Viaggio Winery in Acampo, discussed the Williamson Act and related issues last week with Phil Brumley, president of the San Joaquin Farm Bureau Federation. Brumley said he has no issues with Viaggio as long as it complies with the county's winery ordinance. Viaggio is under investigation for allegedly violating the Williamson Act, a state program designed to preserve agriculture in California. (Dan Evans/News-Sentinel)
