Big-rig crashes on Interstate 5 at Eight Mile Road

California Department of Transportation crews clean debris and add absorbent to the right lane of northbound Interstate 5 after a moving company big-rig crashed, hit a guard rail and jack-knifed on Tuesday, May 24, 2011. The semi then caught fire. The Stockton Fire Department was called to the scene as well as California Highway Patrol officers. The accident occurred shortly after 8 a.m. The driver and a passenger of the semi had only minor injuries, CHP Officer Angel Acero said.
