Woodbridge woman accuses deputy of releasing lost dogs in 100-degree heat

Bella, a German shepherd, has gone missing. Patricia Haggard of Woodbridge says that a San Joaquin County Sheriff’s deputy found Bella and Haggard’s other dog, Nika, a three-legged pit bull mix, but abandoned them in a remote field after two shelters turned them away on Sunday, June 30, 2013. Now she is searching for Bella and Nika, while the Sheriff’s office is investigating the incident.
