Labor Day entertainment returns to Lodi

He may look like the second coming of Jerry Garcia, but Lodi painter Rich Allen maintains that he wasn’t a “Dead Head” or a hippie from the 1960s. Allen got the shirt as a souvenir in Washington’s San Juan Islands. The shirt read, “Peace, love and orcas.” Allen displayed several paintings of scenic areas of the San Juan Islands during the Labor Day Lodi event at Hutchins Street Square on Monday, Sept. 2, 2013.
