Above: California Highway Patrol Officer Marc Tolman records data at the scene of an accident on southbound Highway 99 beneath the Acampo Road overcrossing. According to the CHP, two people on a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle had sought shelter from the rain Sunday morning by pulling over beneath the overcrossing. A southbound Chevrolet van, for unknown reasons, lost control and spun out on the wet pavement slamming into the motor cycle killing its driver and sending his passenger to Lodi Memorial Hospital. The driver of the van was the sole occupant and was not injured.(Jerry R. Tyson/News-Sentinel)
