Jane Woznick, left, gives a pair of socks to Savana Daub during a rally celebrating Lodi High School’s API score of 791 on Wednesday, April 4, 2012. Eight hundred students who raised their individual scores were invited to the rally and all were given a $1 gift certificate to the school cafeteria. Additional prizes, including McDonald’s gift certificates, bowling gift certificates, T-shirts, yearbooks, prom bids and iPods, were given to students based on how much they improved their scores. Last year, Lodi High’s score was 770. This year’s testing will take place April 17 to 19. The school hopes to reach a score of 800, meeting the state goal.
