Councilman Larry Hansen, left, congratulates members of the Boys and Girls Club of Lodi board of directors and staff members on the organization’s 50th anniversary at the Downtown Lodi Farmers Market. Front row from left: Barbara Brovelli, Jim Collins, club CEO Paul Bonell, Mike Stokes and Tony Vaccarezza. Back row from left: Marc Bregman and Eddie Cotton. The Downtown Lodi Business Partnership helped the group hide 23 papier-mache golden nuggets around town that spelled out “Lodi Boys & Girls Club 1962-2012.” Lodi resident Sheryl Carey won the contest and found all of the nuggets. Bonell said the golden nuggets contest kicks off a full-year of celebrating the club’s long history.
