Parminder Shergill shooting

Parminder Singh Shergill, 43, was shot and killed on Elderica Way after Lodi police officers responded to a family disturbance call. Police have said Shergill, a veteran of the U.S. Army who suffered from post traumatic stress disorder, lunged at the responding officers with a knife after repeated orders to drop the weapon. However, Sacramento attorney Mark Merin, representing Shergill’s family, said he has interviewed several witnesses who gave contradicting statements to him during his independent investigation.
