Due to the high home foreclosure rate in California, Rep. Jerry McNerney, D-Pleasanton, and 27 other members of Congress from California have called for President Barack Obama to immediately appoint a permanent director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency.

There has been no permanent director for 2 1/2 years, which McNerney says undermines the housing authority's capability to address the foreclosure crisis. Meanwhile, areas like San Joaquin County have been ravaged by foreclosures, he said in a news release.

JOANNE, do you watch anything besides Olberman, the Ed Show, the Daily Show or the alphabet channels that have their nose so far up Obama's posterior it is sickening? You need to get out more and experience the REAL world, not just what the liberal pundits are shoving in your brainwashed head.

That has to be the funniest thing I have heard today. I have caught you giving half truths and misinformation by the bushel full lately, and that is your response?

So pathetic...and Mr. Chapman...where were you when Bush and the Republicans were trampling over the Constitution in order to promote the so-called "War on Terrorism?"

Have you noticed AT ALL that Bush has been so conspicuously missing from the public discussion of current events (other than his ventriloquist's dummy performance in the Haiti earthquake ads with Clinton) because he himself is embarrassed that he actually took part in 8 years of a farcical administration?

I can only imagine that he spends his evenings curled up on the sofa in the fetal position with Laura stroking his hair saying "Now, now, George. Soon it will be safe to appear in public. Don't worry, I'll make sure Dick Cheney doesn't "accidently shoot you in the face!"

Come on, Darrell, you know "Bush did it" will be the first thing out of liberals mouths for years everytime something controversial comes up. Just consider the source and laugh. Libs are hard pressed to defend Obama's agenda so BUSH DID IT is a no brainer for them.

    Ms Bobin...please stop distorting reality.
Of course the bill was signed by Bush... Bush however was not using this power to bypass congress... It was ABC News that reported that Obama's motive was to get around Congress. Just as a person can buy a gun to defend themselves, another person can buy a gun to hurt someone. The motive and character of the person is of importance.

ABC News discovered that the character of Obama is selfish and does things to increase his power... just like Obamacare and many other things he has done.

Mr. Baumbach once again believes that HIS audience thinks HE know it all and will therefore take everything he says at face value.

What Mr. Baumbach neglects to mention is that the FHFA was created in June 2008 - yes, do the math - and was signed into law by George W. Bush.

But suddenly this agency, according to Mr. Baumbach, is an Obama power grab.

Really, what is wrong with you, Mr. Baumbach? And haven't you left for Thailand yet? If you are already there, you really need to work on vacationing instead of trying to mislead YOUR public.

McNerney is giving us a crock... This is all about president Obama and his thirst for power...

ABC News reported. Obama will use the Federal Housing Finance Agency to bypass Congress in terms of trying to stimulate the economy. His motto to the American people is "We Can't Wait."
What is the Federal Housing Finance Agency ? Here is some background information.
The FHFA is an independent agency of the U.S. government. As such, the director of the agency is appointed by the president and has a five-year term. The only authority Congress has is to defund the agency or disband it altogether. The Senate can also suggest candidates for the directorship to the president.

As of September 2010, the FHFA regulated $6.7 trillion of debt. That figure includes a purchase or guarantee of 65 percent of new mortgages since the agency was created.
