Lodi Chamber of Commerce picks volunteers Phil and Daphne Felde as its Citizens of the Year
Daphne and Phil Felde, named Outstanding Citizens of 2010 by the Lodi Chamber of Commerce, celebrate with a bit of champagne on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011.

Born and raised: Lodi, except for 10 years when
her father was in the service.
Occupation: Real estate appraiser.
Clubs/organizations: Member of Lodi Woman’s
Club and Omega Nu; Lodi Junior Woman’s Club adviser since 1998;
treasurer of the Hutchins Street Square Foundation; served on
Woodbridge Sanitary District board and Woodbridge Municipal
Advisory Council in the 1990s; past board member of the Salvation
Army.
Activities: Co-chaired with her husband of
Field and Fair Day, a major fundraiser for Hutchins Street Square
in 1991-92; Lodi Centennial Committee in 2006.
Family: Husband Phil Felde; three children,
Meredith Hoffman of Loomis, Stephen Felde of Lodi and John Felde,
who is attending graduate school at University of California,
Davis.

Sunrise Rotary Club; Lodi Memorial Hospital board of directors for
15 years before his term ended a couple of years ago; still sits on
a couple of committees at Lodi Memorial; chairman of American Heart
Association in connection with Lodi Memorial and St. Joseph’s
hospitals; past member of Lodi Unified School District Budget
Committee; currently serving on chamber’s General Plan
Committee
Activities: Cooked hundreds of hot dogs during
the Boy Scouts’ annual Christmas tree collection; co-chaired Field
and Fair Day, a major fundraising event for Hutchins Street Square,
for two years.
Family: Wife Daphne Felde; three children,
Meredith Hoffman of Loomis, Stephen Felde of Lodi and John Felde,
who is attending graduate school at University of California,
Davis.

with the 2010 Outstanding Citizen of the Year award from 6 to 9
p.m. Jan. 25 at the Wine & Roses ballroom, 2505 W. Turner
Road.

Phil and Daphne Felde have been named the Lodi Chamber of
Commerce's Outstanding Citizens of the Year for 2010. The couple
was selected by a committee of previous winners for their volunteer
work outside their occupation, according to chamber President/CEO
Pat Patrick.
The Feldes were surprised by a sneaky bunch of chamber committee
members, who gathered late Saturday afternoon at the Woodbridge
home of Jeff and Carolyn Kirst before the Feldes arrived.
