Lodi police officers arrested 10 subjects on warrants and suspicion of drug paraphernalia and gun possession Wednesday in a sweep of two hotels.
Two hotels on South Main Street were selected for a probation, parole and warrant sweep Wednesday because that area has been marked as a high crime zone, said Officer Eric Bradley. Stolen property and a brisk narcotics trade are common there, he said.
The sweep was held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Along with the arrests, more than 30 field contacts were made with people who live near the hotels or spend time there.
“We want to keep contacts on them so we know who’s hanging around there,” said Bradley.
