The San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors will wait 60 days to either approve or reject an application that would allow a small Acampo winery to hold additional marketing events.
The county’s Planning Commission recommended granting St. Jorge Winery, located at 22769 N. Bender Road in Acampo, permits legalizing previously constructed structures meant for entertainment events, along with allowing the winery to increase the number and size of marketing events each year.
However, neighbors Judy and Romano Isola appealed the decision.
On Tuesday, winery owners Vern and Jenise Vierra and the Isolas asked that the hearing be postponed. Supervisors will hear the appeal sometime in October.
