Don Juan, or “DJ,” is a sweet 1-year-old Pomeranian and Chihuahua mix. His vaccinations are current, he has been neutered and he has a microchip.

When DJ gets in your lap, he cuddles right next to your neck and snuggles. He is a quiet dog, enjoys playing and loves the cots we have for them to sleep on; he uses them like a trampoline.

He would probably do well with agility training. DJ is working on his house-training and is using potty pads. He didn’t spend much time inside until he came to the shelter. He spent a lot of time with chickens. DJ is good with other dogs, cats and chickens. DJ loves chewies, walks, car rides and dog parks. He walks well on a leash and can easily walk two miles. He loves to be petted and likes to sit on laps. He is good with children and will be a great companion.

Don Juan is being offered for adoption through Animal Friends Connection, a Lodi nonprofit organization dedicated to helping companion animals since 1990. For more information about Don Juan, call 209-368-1761 or 209-365-0535.

Vinny is a 6-year-old poodle and would love to have a dog buddy to hang out with. He does very well with other dogs. It is unknown if he is house-trained. Vinny is being overlooked because of his age, but he has a lot of life left. Please come and take a look at Vinny and give him the forever home he deserves.

Vinny is being offered for adoption through Lodi Animal Shelter. For more information about Vinny, please call the shelter at 209-333-6741.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
