A private company will pay the City of Galt $26,433 this year to use a previously placed cellphone tower on city-owned property. It is part of a contract agreement with Crown Castle unanimously approved at Tuesday’s regular Galt City Council meeting.
With additional rental revenue and a contract signing bonus, the city will receive about $20,000 this year alone under the new agreement, according to City Manager Jason Behrmann.
