- Two Lodi churches open for prayers on 9/11 anniversary
At least two Lodi churches will open their doors for people who want to pray on Patriot Day.
Grace Presbyterian Church in Lodi will open its sanctuary to the community from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today for anyone who would like to pray in memory of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, or pray about current world events such as possible U.S. military intervention in Syria. The church is at 10 N. Mills Ave. For more information, call 209-369-1062.
At Emanuel Lutheran Church, the community can use the newly dedicated prayer room beginning at 9 a.m. Emanuel is at 1540 W. Lodi Ave.

This year’s high school freshmen were barely walking when the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers fell and a plane crashed into the Pentagon 12 years ago today. Some middle schoolers weren’t even born yet.
Still, many will study the historic event by watching documentaries about brave survivors or listening to previously recorded TV newscasts lauding first-responders.
